So if this is a casino night, is this real gambling?

No, this is not real gambling.  This is how the casino works:

  • Extra casino money can be purchased.  The proceeds will benefit Striving for More.
  • Casino money can be exchanged at any casino table for chips.
  • The chips can be used at any of the tables “for betting”. (full list of tables in FAQ below)
  • When the casino closes at 8:45pm, dealers exchange your winnings for casino prize raffle tickets.
  • Casino prize raffle tickets can be used to enter the casino prize raffles.
  • The more tickets you use to enter to win a specific prize, the greater your chances of winning the item.

What kind of casino tables will be there?

  • Poker – No Limit Texas hold’em
  • Craps
  • Blackjack
  • Roulette

Will I win real cash?

No.  As explained above, chips can be exchanged for casino auction tickets which can then be used to bid on items at the casino auction table.  The tickets will have two parts, you will keep one part and put the other in a box in front of the item you want to bid on.  Casino auction items will be raffled off at 9:30.  If you have multiple auction tickets, you can either bid on multiple items, or use multiple tickets to bid on individual items to increase your chances of winning.

How many prize raffle tickets will I get based on my casino winnings?

At the end of game play, the dealers will trade your chips and play money for raffle tickets.  You will receive one raffle ticket for every $200 you trade in.  Winnings will be rounded up to the next $200 increment. These tickets will be added to the ticket that every guest will automatically receive with their event ticket.

What is the minimum age?

The minimum age is 21.

Where do the proceeds go?

All of the net proceeds benefit Striving For More, Inc. , a non-profit organization that offers quality emotional, physical and spiritual support to children with cancer.
At Striving for More, our vision is a community where all children with cancer and their families receive emotional and spiritual support:
  • beginning from the moment of diagnosis;
